IFA holds an Annual Congress each year, generally in the late summer or fall. In connection with the Congress, two technical topics are studied in depth. A National Reporter (or Reporters) prepare papers on the topic from the point of view of his/her own country, following a standard outline developed by the General Reporter for the topic. The conclusions for each topic are summarized in a General Report. Two Cahiers de Droit Fiscal International are published once a year and distributed free to all members of the Association. These Cahiers contain a wealth of domestic and international material in dealing with the Subjects to be discussed at the following Congress. They comprise IFA Branch Reports together with a General Report on each of the two Subjects selected for the Congress of that year. IFA Branch Reports are published in one of the official IFA languages, i.e. English, French or German, with summaries in the remaining languages plus in Spanish. General Reports are printed in English, and, if applicable, in the original language. The Cahiers are an invaluable source of information of lasting scientific value for any specialist interested in international or comparative fiscal law. The Cahiers have been published annually since 1939. Please click for a complete list of Cahiers published since 1939 and where they can be purchased. As an extra service, online versions of the IFA Cahiers since 1980 have been made available on the website of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) in Amsterdam. IFA members in “good standing” (i.e. having no arrears in their annual membership fees) can access these publications free of charge via the secured section of the Central IFA Website. New Cahiers will be made available online as soon as the printed books are available, i.e. annually on June 15. Notwithstanding this additional service, for the time being IFA will continue to meet the demand of its members by publishing the Cahiers in book form and on CD-Rom. Additionally, papers from the IFA Seminar Series, also presented annually, are published by Central IFA. Click here for a complete list of the topics and respective Congresses from all years, which are published in the annual International Fiscal Association Yearbook, published by Central IFA in The Netherlands. In addition to the Annual General Subjects and Seminar Services, IFA sponsors Research Projects. The "David R. Tillinghast Research Programme" has resulted in three publications, and further publications are expected. Please click here for further information.
